Nerd Wars Tournament 1 is Finished

So Nerd Wars is this crazy contest on Ravelry where different nerddoms compete in challenges (6 per month for 3 months) for bragging rights. I went a little crazy and submitted projects for all of the challenges, including my first pair of knitted socks and my first cardigan. Now that it's over, I'm missing that high of being competitive.

Luckily, I can now start on some non nerdy projects and maybe finish up some WIP's (works in progress).  I started my Daybreak Shawl in the lovely SweetGeorgia Merino Silk DK Tourmaline (blue-green color) despite the skein having 5 knots in it. I contacted SweetGeorgia and the customer service was great! And the color looks lovely with Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light Brother's Grimm (dark green/black). My WIP's that I want to focus on include some spinning and my season 15 Doctor Who scarf.

NON CRAFTING NEWS

Alex and I are caught up on Bones and have been watching Mythbusters on Netflix even though we've already seen most of the episodes. After he beat Portal 2 single player and co-op with Jared, we've been trying to find another show to catch our interest. Well, besides our normal shows: Monday- How I Met Your Mother, Tuesday- Glee (guilty pleasure), Wednesday- America's Next Top Model, Thursday- Big Bang Theory, Bones, and Outsourced, Friday- ???, Saturday- DOCTOR WHO, Sunday- America's Most Wanted. I think we watch too much TV...

And I finally picked up Naked Empire again. It has nothing to do with the novel, it's just the timing of everything... again. Yes, I did the same thing I did last year, only this year was worse.
